Every year, since 1997, Delft University of technology has organised a course on 'Successful Corporate Real Estate Strategies' to help corporate real estate managers serve the needs of corporate and business units more effectively. This book - an introductory book on corporate real estate management - has been written by lecturers who participated in past editions of the course. The lecturers are leading professionals in the field of corporate real estate.
This book concentrates in particular on the perspective of the end-user of corporate real estate. Several contributors were asked to describe their vision on special aspects of the subject, based on different perspectives and experiences. Each of the perspectives raises different issues. Corporate real estate management is, in fact, finding the right balance between these different perspectives.
Successful Corporate Real Estate Strategies does not aim to provide a complete insight into corporate real estate issues. The purpose of this book is to help readers gain an understanding of how shifts in the business environment have an impact on the need for service by corporate real estate professionals. This book provides insight in (new) real estate related strategies and methods, thereby helping to improve the real estate professionals' ability to contribute to corporate success.
